Misti Chill Hostel in Paraty is located right In front of the Beach two steps from the Historic Center of Paraty. Are you looking for a great place to unwind? After the exciting Reveillón/New Year's Eve 2010, colonial Paraty is getting ready for the most important celebration in town: Paraty Carnival 2010.
Paraty will start celebrating with the Carnamar, the sea carnival, scheduled for February 7th. From Feburary 12th to 16th all Partienses and visitors will enjoy the unique 2010 Paraty Carnival. The traditional Bloco da Lama (Muddy Bloco Parade) is scheduled for February 13th. Finish your carnival nights dancing till dawn in the sands of the beautiful Pontal Beach. Paraty's version of Carnival is much more traditional, less crowded and set in a utopian environment. In some ways it is closer to Venice's version than Rio's hectic parties. In Carnival, Paraty's celebrations play on fantasies, with masked blocos (carnival groups), along with children and adults in fancy dresses and clad as celebrities.
